Members of the JBHS HOSA chapter, along with sponsor Ashley Corbin and Assistant Principal Chesley Goostree, attended an international leadership conference in Orlando, Florida on June 20 through June 25. HOSA, or Future Health Professionals, is an organization that promotes education for future healthcare professionals. Ashley Corbin said of the experience, "Traveling to the 2017 HOSA International Leadership Conference in Orlando was a once in a lifetime experience for myself and the students attending. I am so proud of the four ladies who attended and appreciate their commitment to our HOSA chapter."
While there, students attended leadership sessions with students from across the globe. They were also able to visit Disney World and bond as a chapter. Recent graduate Aubree Shelly placed in the top ten for the Speaking Skills competition.
