In collaboration with United Way of Greater Nashville’s “Stuff the Bus” Day of Action, the 2020 Robertson County Back to School Bash is going virtual! 

While we aren’t certain about plans for the 2020-2021 school year just yet, what we do know is many families in our community have been hit with incredible financial hardships due to employment or wage loss and other unforeseen affects associated with COVID-19.  Without access to the tools necessary for learning (like pencils, paper, glue, etc.), scholars in our community would be met with yet another hurdle along their educational journey.

Even though we won’t be able to host a community event this year there are still plenty of ways you can get involved:   

1. Online school supply shopping.  We’re using Roonga, an online supply drive platform, to purchase and deliver school supplies.  Link:  https://www.roonga.com/uwgnstuffthebus2020.  From there you can create your own supply drive or donate supplies to our drive anonymously. 
2. Spread the word.  United Way is committed to serving this community, but we can’t do it alone – we need our community to step up so students and classrooms have the supplies they need to be successful.  If you or your business are participating in the 2020 Back to School Bash talk about it on social media using one of the attached graphics and encourage others to participate.  Make sure to tag @UnitedWayRobertsonandCheatham.
3. Let us do the work. After you have made your purchase, we’ll handle the sorting and delivery. This year, all supplies will be funneled to the Robertson County Family Resource and Education Center and Robertson County Schools Teacher Center to make sure they go to the students and classrooms that need it most.
